19th Century Blacksmiths Dishing Stump in Sycamore

A rare surviving rustic 19th century English blacksmiths dishing stump . This would have been made by the blacksmith himself for forming the rounded bases for metal containers. This is a very large sycamore stump that has through age and use formed a very nice patina. A glass top has been placed on the surface to enable it to be used as a table, creates a very unique and interesting focal point.
